More than just a competition.

Play with Purpose is a community-driven charity sports initiative presented by EcoYouth and Organized by HM. The initiative brings people together through sports, service, and shared purpose to support meaningful causes and create positive impact.

The inaugural edition is held in support of Wheels of Joy and will feature a blood donation drive, badminton tournament, and futsal tournament — providing meaningful opportunities for participants, volunteers, donors, and supporters to contribute to a worthy cause.

Match Format

Best of 3 games to 21 points (rally point system).
60-second interval when leading score reaches 11; 2 minutes between games.
Knockout or group-stage format depending on number of entries.

General Rules

Played in accordance with BWF Laws of Badminton except where modified.
Standard court boundaries apply (narrow for singles, wide for doubles).
Players must bring their own rackets; tournament-grade shuttlecocks provided.
Appropriate athletic attire and non-marking indoor sports shoes required.

Registration & Reporting

Players must clearly register their category (Men's Singles, Women's Singles, or Mixed Doubles).
No substitutions after registration closes unless approved by the Tournament Committee.
Report to the registration desk at least 30 minutes before scheduled match time.
Players not on court within 5 minutes of being called may forfeit at Committee discretion.

5 vs 5 format, max 8 players per team. IDR 1,000,000 per team.

Blood DonationDay 1 — 29 Aug

Open to eligible donors aged 18–60. Free to participate.

Vendor Notes

Vendors may bring their own tables: max 180 cm for small businesses, 300 cm for restaurants.
Vendors are required to bring their own tablecloth.
Live cooking is permitted in the cafeteria — submit equipment list with voltage and menu for prior approval.
Multiple menus per day are allowed (e.g. breakfast and lunch) if approved before the deadline.
No Styrofoam containers, cups, or packaging. Minimise single-use plastics and use biodegradable alternatives wherever possible.

Play with Purpose is more than just a competition — it is a charity event supporting YKAKI (Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia).

We ask all players, coaches, and supporters to uphold the values of sportsmanship, respect, and fair play throughout the tournament. Abuse towards referees, line judges, volunteers, opponents, or spectators will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action or disqualification.
